Introducing the Kung Foo Monkey Badgers

The Kung Foo Monkey Badgers are a close knit, teamwork orientated guild on the European Runetotem Server in World of Warcraft.
Founded in April 2005 the Kung Foo Monkey Badgers is one of the oldest guilds in all of Azeroth.

Having vanquished Ragnaros, survived the threat of C'thun, Rid Outland of the Burning Legion and battled the Scourge of Northrend the Kung Foo Monkey Badgers are looking to expand its community in the wake of the Cataclysm.

Sick of soloing? Driven to support those around you? Ready to raid? If you are a sociable, responsible player looking for a guild to call home then The Kung Foo Monkey Badgers may be the place for you.

KFMB is active and successful in all areas of WoW life, so no matter what aspect of the game fires your engine, we'll be right alongside you.

After the surprising ease of Baleroc we were on a high as we came face to face with Majordomo Fandral Staghelm.  Co-ordination is the key to this fight.  When you think of the Kung Foo Monkey Badgers, co-ordination does not immediately spring to mind and this was evident in the first try which lasted a mere two and a half minutes...

Despite a troubled start we persevered through subsequent attempts, fixing the problems that were causing us to fail.  As a team we discussed the changes and helped to tailor the fight to our strengths, which on the fifth try proved successful.

We all celebrated with a cheer and verbal pats on the back, but only 3 people were able to walk away with anything tangible; Elfmantim with [Fandral's Flamescythe], [Wristwraps of Arrogant Doom] were awarded to Hiela whilst [Mantle of the Fiery Protector] went to Terralis.

It was good to see Deathtemple back in a raid with us and it was a nice way to welcome Petruzci to the guild.  Hopefully we can carry this success through to next week and begin our Ragnaros attempts.

xxGuild Update

Guild Announcements
Another summer raid hiatus has come and gone and so we can again look forward to more raid success before the next patch.  The early signs are good having gone on to kill a further 3 bosses in Firelands.

After a few weeks of attempts we decided to adopt a different approach to Beth'tilac which proved to be more successful, once again showing the great results we can achieve by tailoring our tactics to our strengths.

Lord Rhyolith and Alysrazor proved to be less of a challenge than they were promised to be, allowing us to overcome them very easily.

Despite a raid break for the summer, our logs show much activity in this period from our Achievement Hunters.  Congratulations go to Elfmantim and Joneleth on reaching 10000 Achievement Points recently, I also reached this milestone* but it feels a little strange to congratulate myself.  The congratulations shouldn't stop with us though as the assistance of a supportive guild, such as we have, is what enabled us to reach this point.

Particular thanks to those who assisted in the recent triumphs of [The Traitor King], [One Light in the Darkness] and [A Poke in the Eye (25 Player)] in which the "easiest" proved the hardest and the "hardest" proved the easiest.  Typical Bad

xxRe: Firelands. The Firelord’s domain.

A zone filled with gruesome creatures of flaming wrath and anger. Hellish dogs patrolling for meat to feast, Monstrous Molten Lords just wanting something to stomp on and the Flamewakers, the feared lieutenants of the dreaded Firelord.
The most feared of these beings is Shannox. He commands the armies of Hell Hounds and even uses two as pets, Rageface and Riplimb, fitting names for such beasts.

After a long summer of relative peace and tranquillity, the horn of battle was sounded once more and a group of adventurers took up the call to assault the plane of Fire, the Firelands.
The group entered the domain and immediately began to tackle the creatures that dwell within. A strong start was had but then in true adventurer style they pulled far too many mobs and alas they were temporarily overcome. Not to be undone, they came back with a vengeance and tore shreds in each of the mobs. One of these even yielded a shiny item for which the adventurer named Terralis claimed for his own [Theck's Emberseal].

Clearing an area to fight, they waited for the dreaded Shannox to make an appearance.

After several attempts on his life with the Flamewaker  only marginally being victorious, the group planned a new attack strategy and with a renewed vigour they vanquished his lifeforce. The being dropped [Uncrushable Belt of Fury] and [Coalwalker Sandals] from his prized table of possessions and the adverturers moved on to the Arachnids lair.

After fighting wave upon wave of demonic fiery bastards of death the group assaulted Beth’Tilac, the matriarch of the spiderlings that call Firelands their

The team of Auldyn, Celegorm, Elfmantim, Eluna, Hiela, Joneleth, Luthion, Muntz, Neroph & Shadowdagger continued on from their Ascendant Council victory to conquer Cho'Gall, the final boss in The Bastion of Twilight.

On the second time of asking the Ogre fell, his corruption not proving strong enough against the will and determination of the Kung Foo Monkey Badgers.  The Guild celebrated in obtaining [Guild Glory of the Cataclysm Raider] unlocking the [Reins of the Dark Phoenix] for the whole guild and congratulated Auldyn on his receipt of [Mantle of the Forlorn Vanquisher] and Eluna winning [Hands of the Twilight Council].

An extra congratulations to Auldyn, Elfmantim, Hiela & Luthion on their new titles for completing their [Defender of a Shattered World] Achievement with this kill.
