Guild Rules
Kung Foo Monkey Badgers is a World of Warcraft guild for people who want to have fun and enjoy the game. Pure and simple.
We want people to think of KFMB as fun, friendly and accessible. As a member of KFMB you are part of how people perceive the guild, what other people think of us. Keep this in mind when grouping or interacting with other players.
As said, we want people to have fun playing World of Warcraft, so if there is anything preventing you from enjoying yourself while playing, don’t hesitate to contact an Officer, that’s what they’re here for. We want everyone to enjoy themselves in KFMB, so if you have something to say, or have an idea, make sure your voice is heard!
We are not a guild of rules, the most important one we have is: “Treat others as you yourself would like to be treated”. The rest we just make up as we go…
Sanctions:
Ofcourse it’s not all fun and games, sanctions are in order for:
a) Any behaviour that harms KFMB’s reputation, making us look like Monkey Arses instead of Monkey Badgers.
b) Any behaviour, verbal or otherwise, that has a negative impact on other players or their enjoying the game.
c) Failure to comply with an order given by guild leadership (in the unlikely event one is given).
d) Anything else we haven’t thought of but is frowned upon in most civilisations.
ad a) This includes but is not limited to, spamming, scamming, grieving, etc.
ad b) This includes but is not limited to namecalling, racist or other discriminatory remarks.
A sanction can be anything from a demotion, exclusion from guild event to removal from the guild. In case of removal from the guild the member in question will not be allowed to join the guild again.
Promotions:
We are also not a guild of ranks, but we do have Officers. Now we can’t all be Officers, that kind of defeats the purpose…
Being an Officer means taking on certain responsibilities. An Officer mediates in disputes between members, or between members and other players, this requires a certain degree of diplomacy and problem-solving ability.
Also Officers are responsible for moderating guildchat, we are a friendly guild, and as such we expect our members to respect others and to know what can and cannot be said in public. If you have no idea what we mean by this then you are at risk of violating this guideline and we advise you to consult a parent or legal guardian (or if neither is available, an Officer)
Promotions are solely at the discretion of guild leadership, there is no set way to “earn” a promotion.
As a guild we want to reach the point where we can start doing raids and other guild events, this will require dedication and discipline, our Officers evaluate our members to see if they “have what it takes”, it’s okay to be a monkey, but you have to be a little bit of a badger as well…
Demotions:
If guild leadership feels that a sanction is in order for one of our members but feels that removal from the guild is too severe, then that member may be demoted.
if you have any questions/comments/sugestions please contact me, Smc, or contact an Officer in-game.
