This week Terralis takes a deeper look in to his own soul…..

You and a guild Officer are waiting for a bus, when it arrives there is only space for one, What do you do?
It all depends on said location of the bus, if it was in the Isle of Man, I would probably take the space as there is such a fecking long waiting time for buses here but saying that, most of the time I would let said guild officer take the space without question.

If one of the members in your group was underperforming for their gear level would you tell them?
I’d like to think I would, if someone can perform better I would try and hint it but most of the time that doesn’t register, so I would probably just say it outright.

If a member of the group told you you were underperforming for your gear level, how would you react?
That’s a scientific impossibility :p

You have been flirting with a guild members significant other and they wants to meet in secret, what would you say?
That would never happen, but I know you won’t accept that as an answer so I’ll just say I’d stop all contact.

You are master looter in a pug when a rare mount drops, would you “half inch” it?
Depends what mount it is, most of the mounts don’t interest me so I would probably think “nah, I can’t be arsed with all the hassle for a mount” so would be honest, never know you may win the roll anyway.

A Goldseller has mistaken you for his intended customer and wants to give you gold, how do you react?
Again depends on the context – if they had just sent gold to me in mistake for someone else I would take it however if they were speaking to me asking information and the like in preparation for sending the gold I would tell them they’ve made a mistake.

You caused a wipe on a possible Raid clearing attempt, and the Raid Leader wants to know who did it. Would you own up?
I ALWAYS own up for wipes seeing as I cause them all the time…I have no trouble taking the blame, everyone blames me anyway.

You find naked pictures on the net of a guild member. What course of action would you take?
Depends who it was but probably inform them and get them to remove it/make more

You’ve been offered a position in the server’s leading raid guild, would you take it?
No

You run over a Guild Members Pet, would you tell them?
Depends who the guildie was…some I am scared of, others I could tell the truth to.

You’re out soloing and a rare and expensive item drops that you know a guildie has wanted for a long time. Do you sell it or give it to the guildie?
Give it to the guildie and hopefully out of the goodness of their own heart they’d give a donation or do something for me.

You badmouth another guild member to a guild they have applied to and they do not get in, do you tell them why?
Depends on the context, I generally don’t approve of guildies applying to other guilds whilst still in the guild.

You’ve been flirting with a guild member unknowing that you’re of the same sex – do you stop?
That would never happen but again you’d beat me up for this answer(Well try to ) so I’d have to say yes of course.

You have recently been kicked from the guild, would you reapply on a secret alt?
I have no secret alts :p and Osc would never kick me………..Right?

You have bought something for 1000 Gold, when it arrives as C.O.D its mistakenly down for 100 Gold, do you send it back or take it?
Depends if the person whispers me or not, I would keep it until they whispered me inquiring about said object, however if they never contact me then it isn’t their priority and I won’t be the better man :p

You accidentally say a guildie’s name during sex, do you tell the guildie?
What a provocative question, one I am definately much too highly strung to answer! Imagine asking that question, that is outrageous!!

The waiting is over. Winterspring’s weather has fled Stranglethorn Vale and returned home to Kalimdor. The Arena has been prepared, the crowd are ready. It’s been a long time coming but here it is, it’s the Badger Brawl Final!

As friendly as our competitors may appear with one another this match up was as far from friendly as you could get. The slender Draenai Mage looked no match for the Human Death Knight standing both taller and broader than her. However, Hiriel seemed not at all phased by Deathcele confident her magical abilities would overcome her foe. As tension grew in the crowd prior to battle, Hiriel let out a giggle as Deathcele blew her a kiss proving his confidence that he could crush his foe with ease.

HIRIEL Vs. DEATHCELE

Short John Mithril fired a flare in the air to signal the final to begin and everybody grew silent and watched………………

Hiriel pulled her hand from her face and to the surprise of everyone instantly threw fire at Deathcele. Too slow to react the Death Knight took the full power of the spell. Hiriel swiftly turned, surrounding herself in a Mana Shield, and Blinked to a safe distance.

Deathcele rose to his feet, determined not to get caught off guard again he rushed towards the Mage. Once again however, Hiriel got the upperhand, throwing a perfectly aimed Frostbolt at her opponent which slowed him whilst she prepared her next spell.

Slowed, hurting but no less determined Deathcele shrieked out and the ground began to boil blood red beneath the young Draenai, quick to react though she moved out of it soon enough however this allowed enough time for Deathcele to summon his Ghoul and as the mage escaped to safety, the ghoul leapt to attack.

Relentlessly Gnawing and Clawing at her the Ghoul had very quickly destroyed the Mana Shield and was now inflicting harm on his target. Hiriel repeatedly Scorched the Ghoul, confident it could not last long, however, before she could conquer the undead minion, purple tentacles began to surround her and she rose through the air towards Deathcele.

With a roar of laughter, the Death Knight struck, inflicting damage and disease on the disorientated Mage. Strike after strike occured and whenever Hiriel attempted to escape, Deathcele seemed to have everyway to stop her. His Strangulate left the Draenai frantically waving her sword in defence of herself, every chance she made to escape was quickly interrupted as both ghoul and Death Knight overpowered the now frail looking mage.

Struggling to find a chance to escape, Hiriel encased herself in Ice. Deathcele stood over the Icebock and laughed. As the Iceblock faded, the ghoul returned to the ground it came from and a Blast Wave emenated from the Mage knocking the Death Knight backwards.

As the Human found his feet to look for his opponent, he saw that now 3 Mages stood before him.

Quickly Shielding himself, Fire engulfed Deathcele, but unphased he launched in to battle Hiriel once more. Hiriel fell to the ground, but 2 mages remained. Angered he had chosen the wrong target Deathcele launched towards the next.

A mixture of Fire and Frost Spells burned against his flesh, Deathcele began to slow. The previously peaceful mage was now filled with rage and her attacks were neverending. The second Mage vanished as Hiriel orchestrated her spells to a crescendo.

The Death Knight called out for mercy, the battle was over, but not for Hiriel. The Mage marched forward to the weakened Death Knight, the flare to mark the end of battle was fired, Hiriel was the winner! Yet still she did not stop, onward she marched, drawing her wand from her belt, Deathcele’s eyes grew wider as the mage began to cast her final spell that would mar this friendly competition with it’s first true kill.

The crowd drew breath hoping that their “Friendly Mage” would see what she was about to do……she did not. The spell was cast and Hiriel turned and left the arena.

Deathcele wouldn’t remain a sheep for long, but it was a humiliating end to the tournament for such a valiant competitor.

Congratulations to our Winner Hiriel

BADGER BRAWL CHAMPION 2009

and thank you to everyone who entered Badger Brawl 2009!

This week, Terralis puts the thumb screws on everyone’s favourite Lock, Vindicara.

You and a Guild Officer are waiting for a bus, when it arrives there is only space for one, What do you do?
I would like to say I would hit the guild officer over head and get on the bus, but that’s probably a bit extreme. Being the good boy that I am I’d most likely let the guild officer on.

If one of the members in your group was underperforming for their gear level would you tell them?
No, I’m a bit too soft sometimes so I wouldn’t want to upset them.

If a member of the group told you you were underperforming for your gear level, how would you react?
I would likely ask them how I could improve.

You have been flirting with a guild members significant other and they wants to meet in secret, what would you say?
It would depend on their location. It’s not out of the realms of possibility that I would meet them if they were close by.
[Terralis - you slut Vindi ]

You are master looter in a pug when a rare mount drops, would you “half inch” it?
No, I wouldnt want to get reported and I’m not bothered at all by mounts.

A Goldseller has mistaken you for his intended customer and wants to give you gold, how do you react?
I’d definitely take it, I’m always struggling for gold. I’d take the risk of getting banned.

You caused a wipe on a possible Raid clearing attempt, and the Raid Leader wants to know who did it. Would you own up?
Probably. I’ll take the good with the bad, but I wouldn’t if I knew I could get away with it

You find naked pictures on the net of a guild member. What course of action would you take?
That’s a difficult one. It would depend on the Member… No pun intended If it was one that would react badly to my knowing, or talking about it, I would do nothing. Well nothing except whisper Auld ;D

You’ve been offered a position in the server’s leading raid guild, would you take it?
Nope. I had a dabble with Archaos and that was bad enough and they aren’t close to a top raid guild. Besides, I’m always late to raids so I can’t commit to the kind of schedule that would be required.

You run over a Guild Members Pet, would you tell them?
ROFL What a daft question! [Terralis - Oh sure, this is the daft question but you're all for questions involving running off with members' wives ] Yes I would tell them, probably…. Well actually, I don’t know. Come to think of it, I actually probably wouldn’t.

You’re out soloing and a rare and expensive item drops that you know a guildie has wanted for a long time. Do you sell it or give it to the guildie?
OOOOO! This very nearly happened once, Avool’s Sword of Jin dropped whilst I was Pugging Utgarde Pinnacle. I didn’t actually win it but I knew that Terra wanted it so I told him who had won it and I believe Terra whispered him and bought it from the guy. [Terralis - Lovely story, now answer the question] I’d sell it to the guild member for a reduced price.

You badmouth another guild member to a guild they have applied to and they do not get in, do you tell them why?
No I wouldn’t tell them, because if I badmouth them to another guild I probably dont like them anyway.

You’ve been flirting with a guild member unknowing that you’re of the same sex – do you stop?
Yes I think I would stop, well, I don’t know actually. Again, I think it depend on the member, some of them you can just have a laugh with…

You have recently been kicked from the guild, would you reapply on a secret alt?
The thought hasn’t ever crossed my mind. It would depend on the manner of my being kicked.

You bought something for 1000 Gold, when it arrives as C.O.D its mistakenly down for 100 Gold, do you send it back or take it?
I would keep it. When gold is involved it can always be paid back if things go sour or you get found out

You accidentally say a guildie’s name during sex, do you tell the guildie?
ROFL! It would depend on the member, but in the unlikely event it happened, it would be the name of someone I am friendly with so I probably would tell them to amuse them.

Vindi, this Interrogation is over – you are free to leave.

Another year, another set of bosses to badger. But first, let’s start off with a missing downing from before Christmas – Lord Marrowgar. On the 17th of December, a highly trained team of Badgers travelled to the Lich King’s den to start chewing on his various bones. We had the tactics fresh in our heads and after a few tries, they were cemented in our feet as well, dodging flames and flying bones as if we had always been doing it.

Lord Marrowgar: Cord of the Patronizing Practitioner (Vindicara), Citadel Enforcer’s Claymore (Horacio)

Out with the old, onto the new. The first raid of 2010 was an easy start with Onyxia, immediately followed by a Trial of the Crusader on the 5th of January. We’ve got these raids down to a brisk stroll by now, so let’s get down to the purples.

Onyxia: Stormrage Antlers (Auldyn – finally!), Netherwind Hood (dissed), Eskhandar’s Choker (Pancho), Ashen Sack of Gems (Sangar), Head of Onyxia (Peregrinum)
Beasts: Acidmaw Boots (Jakal), Rod of Imprisoned Souls (Mysticle)
Jaraxxus: Girdle of the Nether Champion (Kummin), Belt of the Winter Solstice (Elfmantim)
Champions: Faceplate of the Silver Champion (Peregrinum), Victor’s Call (Sangar)
Twins: Gloves of the Azure Prophet (dissed), Icefall Blade (dissed)
Anub: The Lion’s Maw (dissed), Spaulders of the Snow Bandit (Auldyn), Cinch of the Undying (Mysticle)

Wednesday was Weekly Waid Wun, this time (as the previous few weeks) Ignis. As this was the only raid planned for the day, we decided to spice things up and go for Flame Leviathan + 2, which shouldn’t be too hard considering the increase in gear we’ve had since Ulduar was released. We mowed down some dwarves and knocked over a few towers and rolled in on the Leviathan. A few minutes and many fires later, Orbital Devastation popped up on our screens. After that we went and killed Ignis for our quest and enjoyed an early night. I can’t imagine the loot was much to brag about, because I certainly didn’t take note of what dropped.

The first Icecrown raid of the new year came on Thursday, and the Badgers promptly picked Lord Marrowgar’s bones clean, before moving to a new boss – Lady Deathwhisper. With the tactics nearly understood and the execution nearly mastered, we nearly got her down! Oh well, next time.

Lord Marrowgar: Marrowgar’s Scratching Choker (Joneleth), Ancient Skeletal Boots (Peregrinum)

After the weekend we gathered up with the Watchers for a renewed focus on 25 man raids, first up being Onyxia and Trial of the Crusader on Monday. Onyxia was casually brushed aside before we entered what was the first TotC-25 for most people. Beasts took a try or two to get right, Jaraxxus was as easy as on 10 man and the Faction Champions went down on the second attempt (the first being a case of ninja kitteh pull). The twins proved to be the night’s toughest challenge, and we spent a handful of attempts on them before getting them down just in time for bed.

Beasts: Boneshatter Armplates (Sangar), Belt of the Ice Burrower (Suzy), Shawl of the Refreshing Winds (Hiela), Trophy of the Crusade (Elfmantim), Crusader Orb (Watchers)
Jaraxxus: Dawnbreaker Greaves (Watcher Matlet), Bracers of Cloudy Omen (Suzy), Charge of the Demon Lord (Pekkala), Trophy of the Crusade (Tetley), Pattern: Royal Moonshroud Robe (Watcher Drewski)
Champions: Treads of the Icewalker (Elfmantim), Chestplate of the Frostborn Hero (Defo), Cloak of Displacement (Watcher Toura won, but later passed it to second highest roller – Watcher Nihilisti), Trophy of the Crusade (Peregrinum), Crusader Orb (Badgers)
Twins: Bindings of Dark Essence (Watcher Nihilisti), Belt of the Merciless Killer (Tetley), Lupine Longstaff (Elfmantim), Trophy of the Crusade (Watcher Fizzlegúmp, after a re-roll against yours truly, Joneleth), Pattern: Crusader’s Dragonscale Bracers (Celegorm)

The last raid of the reset went to Icecrown Citadel, and for the first time in a very long time, we (nearly) had the signups to put two teams in there simultaneously, the A Team and the C Team. The letter of course stand for Auldyn and Cattalis, the respective leaders.
The C Team went to work on a fresh instance, while A spent some time filling the last two slots with Watchers Matil and Kanto (Urthas) for continuing on Lady Deathwhisper. Both teams made good progress, downing two bosses each, and probably would’ve progressed further, but the hamster that is the power supply to Runetotem needed replacement – and let’s just say the transition wasn’t as smooth as we would have appreciated.

Lord Marrowgar: Citadel Enforcer’s Claymore (Sangar), Cord of the Patronizing Practitioner (Cyanize)
Lady Deathwhisper: Deathspeaker Zealot’s Helm (Joneleth), Scourgelord’s Baton (Hiela), Soulthief’s Braided Belt (Jakal), Ghoul Commander’s Cuirass (Cattalis)
Gunship Battle: Saronite Gargoyle Cloak (Joneleth), Midnight Sun (Auldyn)

With that, one of the most eventful raid weeks ever is over, and I’ll leave you with these two pictures for your enjoyment!

Welcome to my Q&A session. Ask me anything about WoW, the Lore and everything in between and I shall answer. For this feature to be a success, it needs YOU! Please ask any questions you like by commenting on this post and I shall answer them in future posts.

This weeks questions cover Lore, Gameplay and the dreaded Dirge

Which spec do you consider the most correct lore-wise for each class?

Deathknight – Unholy, nothing about these creatures is correct, so unholy seems most fitting

Druid – balance, they are masters of nature and thus calling upon it (treants, hurricane, starfall) seem fitting. The only quibble I have is the use of arcane but everyone must adapt and most of their spells are nature based.

Hunter – beast mastery, a hunter is nothing without his pet companion beside him.

Mage – Arcane, mages were shunned from society for practising arcane and every spec variates from arcane at the start.

Paladin – Difficult one, holy because some paladins were orignally clerics and thus their affinity for holy is strongest in their heals and auras, however just as many were warriors or knights, so retribution also fits. Holy however I feel dominates as it epitimises everything that paladins stand for.

Priest – holy, like paladins, they work with the power of the light and holy fits this perfectly, giving others blessings and heals derived from holy.

Rogue- Assassination, rogues are at home with daggers, These in my opinion are the quintessential weapons for rogues and the idea that they attack from behind from nowhere fits them well.

Shaman – elemental, calling on the power of nature and the elements is what shamans are about, they are magic dealers more than anything else thus elemental is the nature path

Warlock- Tough one, all specs are evil and demonic but I would have to go with Demonology, what sets warlocks apart from mages it the ability to commune with demons and demonic taints about everything, so whilst their spells are similiar they do call upon dark energies to produce them and also having the ability to have dominion over demons is what a warlock is all about.

Warrior – Fury, reckless charing in rar berserking – that is how I feel warriors are, headstrong if somewhat lacking in intelligence, they are machines of pure power and fury fits this best, arms is more tactical and protection is defensive, no no no

If you could only roll one race & class and had to play it all the way from 1 to forever without ever playing another class, what would it be and why?

I would play a rogue, as they are my favourite class and I never grow tired of them and it would be a difficult choice, but I think an undead rogue would be my first choice

If Deathwing’s Son and Daughter are lurking around in Azeroth already how come we’ve never come across the big man himself yet, where’s he been hiding?

The Story of Deathwing is an awesome one (read; day of the dragon and night of the dragon) but simply he was a massively powerful entity (still is). But simply he was part of corrupting the dragon/demon soul bla bla bla – eventually it was used to attack him and thus weaken him, he was seen to fly off being chased by the other dragon aspects – however in Night of the dragon, it was revealed he was hiding/trapped under grim batol and thus his influence was still apparently in the already cursed mountain, causing him to create the twilight dragons with the assistance of sinestra. So he had been biding his time, gradually getting stronger again, as he lost a vast portion of his power and his control over the other aspects.

Who started the Chuck Norris references in trade chat? And is Chuck Norris > Dirge?

Overlord Saurfang started it and Chuck Norris uses dirge as a ball scratcher

The Semi-Finals took place on Boxing Day and the Final is later today! Here is the highlights from results from the Semi-Finals with the Final being updated once the match takes place!

THE SEMI-FINALS

The noise from the crowd is deafening as our final 4 competitors enter the Gurubashi Arena. For 2 of them this will be the last time they set foot on on the Arena Floor, for the remaining 2 this will mark their domination of the competition with a place in the Final Battle. Stranglethorn Vale provides a beautiful backdrop as the competition draws closer to it’s conclusion Deathcele, Hiriel, Kraks & Sangar are poised and ready. The crowd are ready. Short John Mithril is ready. Stranglethorn is ready. Are you Ready? It’s Badger Brawl!

BATTLE 1
DEATHCELE Vs. KRAKS
Imps, Ghouls, Felhunters, Curses and Diseases this fight had it all. With 2 ways to interrupt, the ability to silence and an Anti-Magic shell though the Death Knight was more than up to the task. Relying heavily on his self healing abilities to combat the Warlocks Curses, Deathcele continued his run of good form to overcome his most challenging opponent to date. The Fans loved this match, the lower level combatant gaining even more favour with the crowd following his unlikely win.

BATTLE 2
HIRIEL Vs. SANGAR
Battle of the sexes lasted an extraordinary amount of time. High levels of skill and tactical ability were employed by both and on more than one occasion the Mage seemed defeated. It was not to be however as she fought hard, protected by Mana Shields and Ice Blocks as she attempted to keep her opponent at bay with a string of snares and kiting abilites, Hiriel was the victor in this thrilling match worthy of the finals.

THE FINAL
HIRIEL Vs. DEATHCELE

Who will win??!

This week, Terralis has collared Assistant Guild Master Auldyn to answer his probing questions.

You and a guild Officer are waiting for a bus, when it arrives there is only space for one, What do you do?
Simple, I would pull rank. I didn’t earn my role as a GM and probably just bullied my way in to it, so might as well bully my way on to the seat.

If one of the members in your group was underperforming for their gear level would you tell them?
I see it as my job to tell them, whether I would or not normally depends on the person, but I certainly wouldn’t say it to them during a raid. I would probably email them the next day about it giving them pointers if I could.

If a member of the group told you you were underperforming for your gear level, how would you react?
I would take their opinions on board whislt perusing the guild list for their replacement in the Raid.

You have been flirting with a guild members significant other and they wants to meet in secret, what would you say?
I would respectfully decline. Modern technology being what it is today though I would mention alternatives, such as the Web Cam

You are master looter in a pug when a rare mount drops, would you “half inch” it?
I would love to say yes to this question. Unfortunately when you have the Guild Name above your head you are representing the entire guild and to do that would give us all a bad name, so I would let the rolling go as normal. Ask me that question on one of my non-guilded alts though………..

A Goldseller has mistaken you for his intended customer and wants to give you gold, how do you react?
I would imagine that the part of the transaction that gets you banned is the handing over of those kind of sums of in game gold, not the actual purchase of the gold as that can’t be traced within game, but hey, I’m as skint as the next man so hand it over Mr. Chan!

You caused a wipe on a possible Raid clearing attempt, and the Raid Leader wants to know who did it. Would you own up?
I would own up, yes, but then I am a Raid Leader myself and like to lead by example. Plus healers tend to be a little harder to replace so there’s less chance of me getting Kicked. If I was playing as DPS I may have to think about it a little harder.

You find naked pictures on the net of a guild member. What course of action would you take?
After Saving them under Favourites, I’m proud to say I would do nothing……excpt of course email them to everyone else in guild to have a good laugh at. All in the name of art you understand.

You’ve been offered a position in the server’s leading raid guild, would you take it?
Aren’t I in it already? I would have to say “no”, I have thought about the “step up” to a raid guild before and I certainly have the time to dedicate to it, but first and foremost I would miss too many people here in Kung Foo Monkey Badgers. Secondly so long as there is another raid boss to down, my job here isn’t finished.

You run over a Guild Members Pet, would you tell them?
Being an animal lover and pet owner myself, I’d have to tell them. It would probably break my heart as much as it would theirs, but I’d have to tell them. Of course I would say that my wife was driving at the time and I told her to stop, but she wouldn’t and had the devil in her eyes, but yes I would tell them she did it.

You’re out soloing and a rare and expensive item drops that you know a guildie has wanted for a long time. Do you sell it or give it to the guildie?
Hey, I’m as skint as the next man. I’m also too lazy to use the Auction House and so insecure that I feel the need to have to buy friends, so it would go to the guildie.

You badmouth another guild member to a guild they have applied to and they do not get in, do you tell them why?
NOONE LEAVES! YOU HEAR ME?! In actuality, no I wouldn’t tell them. If they were so important to me that I needed to badmouth them to get them to stay, I wouldn’t tell them I did it and make them hate me, I’d be the sympathetic, two-faced b*****s shoulder to cry on

You’ve been flirting with a guild member unknowing that you’re of the same sex – do you stop?
John? is that you? Hell no, I wouldn’t stop. Chances are I probably knew when I started flirting in the first place

You have recently been kicked from the guild, would you reapply on a secret alt?
Tough call. If I’ve been kicked, It’s only been from the Guild Master and for him to have Kicked me I must’ve done something serious so I probably wouldn’t feel comfortable reapplying. If I seriously upset people, I normally know when to walk away.

You bought something for 1000 Gold, when it arrives as C.O.D its mistakenly down for 100 Gold, do you send it back or take it?
HAHA! Learn to type retard. YOINK!

You accidentally say a guildie’s name during sex, do you tell the guildie?
I’ll avoid the obvious “Kummin” joke (sorry Magee) but admit I have actually done this already. Not as juicy as it sounds though as I shouted “Auldyn” which perhaps says a little something about me and my addiction to my Druid.

Somewhat disturbing, but you have answered to my satisfaction Auldyn, you may leave…………..

Deathcele – Lowest level competitor left in the competition has had an unbelieveable string of successes leading up to his semi-final spot.

His first battle was a little less unbelieveable as he knocked out fellow “Camp Cele” contendor Moobs, whether tactical match fixing or a fair fight, Deathcele went through to Round 2 hardly noticed by anyone.

Round 2 got peoples attention as Deathcele brushed aside level 80 oppostion, one of the “Pipette Posse”, Lucynda.

His next opponent, Neroph, proved no match for him either as the Death Knight sailed through to the next round.

Round 4 was the turning point for the fans when Deathcele knocked yet another level 80 out, this time it was one of the bookies favourites, Krakore that was punished and proved Deathcele as a definite contendor for a slot in the finals.

The Quarter Finals had Deathcele paired up with Peregrinum, his third level 80, who was just as quickly cast aside by the Death Knight

And so the Level 61 Death Knight stands proudly awaiting the Semi-Finals on Boxing Day eager to once again have the opportunity to punish another level 80 opponent.
Bookies say: “Deathcele is statistically the outside bet for winning the competition, but no-one would bet against him such is the hype surrounding him at present”

Kraks – Kraks heralds from the competitions most successful team, “Camp Kraks” but stands as the only competitor left as fellow “Krakers” went out in the 4th Round.

Kraks was eased in to the competition with an easy victory over level 43 oppostion in the form of warrior, Migoria.

Round 2 was surrounded with controversy when Kraks met Ardrhys, also from “Camp Kraks”, and the Shaman appeared to simply allow the Warlock to take the victory.

Silencing his critics in Round 3, Kraks destroyed Smirnof, with one of the Highest Hit Point totals of the round.

Similarly Round 4 drew Kraks against level 80, Deaf, whom he also despatch with clinical precision and so whispers began to speak the name of Kraks a a potential Badger Brawl Champion

The Quarter Finals, true to form, saw another level 80 crash out at the hands of Kraks and his minion. This time it was Horacio that was no match for the Warlock.

Kraks began the competition under a cloud of controversy but has now cemented himself as a true contendor to the throne. Boxing Day’s Semi-Final will bring him yet another chance to prove that clothies aren’t squishy.
Bookies say: “Kraks’ has a huge following and is the most backed in the competition. Though statistically not the favourite, his determination to win is probably the strongest in the competition, besides who’s going to tell him he can’t win?!”

Sangar – The Eloquent Sangar, As precise in his killing blows as he is in his use of language. Sangar has become known as “Mr. Friendly” in the competition fighting with Honour and Respect for his opponents and even after winning helps his foes back to their feet.

Sangar had a baptism of fire in Round 1 as he took part in one of the hardest hitting matches of the entire competition as he clashed heads with Cattalis.

Round 2 saw Hawkwinds exit the competition as Sangar continued his confident path towards the Finals.

Seeking revenge for his “Pipette Posse” brother, Wolfeyes, challenged Sangar but also failed further cementing Sangars name as a competition favourite.

Round 4 gave Sangar his first taste of defeat from Ieva, however he was saved from being knocked out by the “Grudge Match” which pitted the highest losers of the round against one another for the last spot to the Finals. He capitalised on this opportunity, knocking out Walkerboh.

The Quarter Finals gave Sangar the opportunity of revenge against Ieva, which he took by the scruff of the neck as he knocked her crashing out of the competition.

Having tasted defeat Sangar’s thirst for victory is stronger than it’s ever been. A gentlemen to the end and a fans favourite, he would be a popular winner.
Bookies say: “Sangar is statistacally the favourite, but having lost a match already people just aren’t backing him favourably.”

Hiriel – The last remaining female in the competition, Hiriel has not only been a competitor of some talent but has also been providing buff food for all competitors in the competition. Begrudgingly entering the contest to “make numbers even”, she now stands as a potential winner.

Round 1 saw Hiriel take on Pet and Hunter and prove her skill in kiting was second to none as she brushed Wendell aside with ease.

The second round saw Hiriel defeat another level 80 hunter. This time it was Ryoken that fell to the Femme Fatale.

Round 3 gave us “Clash of the Mages”, or “Girl on Girl” if you prefer to think that way , as Hiriel tangled with Eluna. This was one of the most memorable matches of the tournment and fans still talk about it today.

Walkerboh was Hiriel’s next victim as she once again broke the 1000 Hit Points mark to crush her opponent.

Hiriel dashed the hopes and dreams of Seltris’ many followers in the Quarter Finals as she defeated the Fans’ Hero.

Hiriel has had the hardest road to travel to get to the Finals having faced level 80 opposition all the way, bar Seltris at level 78. A popular face around the tournament and fighting the corner of “The Ladies”, she has a large female fanbase.
Bookies say: “Having helped every competitor so far Hiriel is heavily backed by the past competitors, being the last remaining female is also backed by a lot of ladies. Statistics books out of the window on this one Hiriel averages a Hit Points Score of 1150, more than some remaining have ever hit. If she’s on form, she’s got this wrapped up!”

So there you have it. The Finalist are ready.

The Semi-Finals will take place on Boxing Day, with the Final taking place on New Years Eve.

Our winner will walk away with several small prizes including In-Game Prizes, Special Forum Titles/Graphics and an exclusive T-Shirt:

Better late than never I always say! Due to some difficulties with my Wormhole Generator I have been floating around the very fabric of time around Northrend unable to bring you the much anticipated happenings of Badger Brawl. Well in the last 8 days we have had both Round 4 and the Quarter Finals. 14 became 8 then those 8 are now down to just 4.

Find out who remains as the year draws to a close and we get closer to the final of BADGER BRAWL!

Round 4 had “excitement” written all over it! only 8 spots were up for grabs and with 14 competitors left to fight for them it was going to get hairy. Maths not being the organizers strong point they realised they had to let an extra body through else 7 people would go through to the Quarter Finals and as there were no Gnomes left in to make up 2 half people, they devised the “Grudge Match”!

Grudge match was simple. The 2 highest scoring losers would battle one another for the “free” spot. Lets see how it all panned out.

ROUND 4 RESULTS

Deathcele (61) [backed by Terralis] continued to dominate as he drew first blood of the day beating Krakore (80) [backed by Mageeca] by a considerable margin.

“Lowest scoring winner of the day” award went to fans favourite Seltris (78) [backed by Horacio] who, despite his low hit point score of just 890, convincingly beat Bravehearth (80) [backed by Vindicara]

First Grudge match entrant was decided when Ieva (80) [backed by Kirelle] beat Sangar (80) [backed by Kirelle] by a margin of only 11 hit point, giving him a second bite of the cherry a little later…….

Dhoon (80) [backed by Celegorm] crashed out of the competition after insisting on competing despite a severed limb from an encounter with the Horde. His courage will be remembered by all, especially his opponent Horacio (80) [backed by Auldyn], who took pity on him whilst claiming victory.

Hiriel (80) [backed by Suzy] rose to the occasion defeating Walkerboh (80) [backed by Pekkala] who’s tough defending earned him the second spot in the Grudge match to face Sangar.

The final member of Team Kraks, Kraks (80) [backed by Pipette], was the only one to fight with enough determination to win, knocking Deaf (80) [backed by Celegorm] out of Badger Brawl with a swift kick to the face.

Once again Peregrinum (80) [backed by Joneleth] faced off against a healer in the competition, this time from the same Camp in the form of Celestium (80) [backed by Vindicara] and was once again victorious.

GRUDGE MATCH! The final match of the day to decide the lucky 8th competitor through to the Quarter finals did not disappoint. Both fought with more vigour than in their earlier matches, Sangar (80) [backed by Kirelle] proving the more deserving winner over Walkerboh (80) [backed by Pekkala].

Congratulations to our Fourth Round Winners. Here is a list of the 8 Winners who went through to Quarter Finals, to follow shortly:

Deathcele, Kraks, Peregrinum, Horacio, Seltris, Sangar, Ieva, Hiriel

BADGER BRAWL QUARTER FINALS RESULTS

The Quarter Finals kicked off with a real clash of the titans. Kraks (80) [backed by Pipette] squared up against Horacio (80) [backed by Auldyn] with the Warlock taking the spoils and thus ending Team Horacio’s chance of winning the competition and my chance of winning some gold in the sweepstake.

Deathcele (61) [backed by Terralis] gave the crowd another wonderful show as he took down “Healer Killer ” Peregrinum (80) [backed by Joneleth] giving one of the biggest shocks of the day.

The biggest shock of the day however, and possibly the tournament, soon followed. Where lesser opposition had failed, Hiriel (80) [backed by Suzy] stood victorious over her opponent Seltris (78) [backed by Horacio] and in doing so, ended Camp Terra’s hopes of being crowned the winner.

Final match of the day also drew the highest Hit Scores of the day as once again Ieva (80) [backed by Kirelle] met Sangar (80) [backed by Kirelle] This time however it was the Warriors turn to take victory leaving Kirelle with only one finalist in her sweepstake kitty.

Congratulations to our Quarter Final Winners. Here is a list of the 4 Winners who went through to Semi Finals:

Deathcele, Kraks, Sangar, Hiriel

Another week, another bag of spoils. And speaking of bag of spoils, our first victim this week was the loot piñata herself – Onyxia. Not much more can be said about her than we already have, so let’s get down to the spoily bits.

Onyxia: Dragonstalker’s Helmet (dissed), Frostforged Helmet (dissed), Antique Cornerstone Grimoire (Bendith), Enlarged Onyxia Hide Backpack (Joneleth), Ashen Sack of Gems (Kamaria), Head of Onyxia (Kamaria)

After that the trip went to the Trial of the Crusader where we were hopeful of making a solid impact after two weeks of downing Anub’arak. A slight misstep or two Beasts wiped us once, but after that we never looked back – dishing out the pain to Gormok, Acidmaw, Dreadscale, Jaraxxus, 6 Horde Champions (of a new mix) and the twins – Eydis and Fjola. An amazing string of performances, including what is widely regarding (in my own head) as the the best recovery ever – on the Twin Val’kyr we lost Tim (tanking Fjola) and as a result of that Fjola killed Ieva and Cele before I (tanking Eydis) managed to pick him/her/it (what are they?) up. Some cries for wiping it were ignored as I hammered down every cooldown I had. Auld ressed Tim, who in turn ressed Cele, and Ieva reincarnated (still as a smoking hot Draenei – what luck!) – the rest was smooth sailing.

Once again we stood facing Anub’arak and his little minions. Unfortunately we couldn’t keep our run going unbroken, as we amassed a few too many scarabs on the first attempt. The second attempt, however, was a text book execution of the tactic (as written by an 8-year old with a Crayon up his nose ).

Beasts: Girdle of the Impaler (dissed), Armbands of the Northern Stalker (Celegorm)
Jaraxxus: Firestorm Ring (Ieva), Endurance of the Infernal (Kummin)
Champions: Pauldrons of the Silver Defender (Kummin), Talisman of Volatile Power (Bendith)
Twins: Gloves of the Azure Prophet (Ieva), Armor of Shifting Shadows (Elfmantim)
Anub: Argent Resolve (Auldyn), Spaulders of the Snow Bandit (Elfmantim), Vestments of the Sleepless (Bendith)

During the weekend, we regularly assembled in the staging area of Icecrown Citadel to take down the Lich King’s most powerful servants. Err, I mean the servants of those servants.. We farmed some rep off the trash and got many people up to friendly for their Ashen Verdict ring of choice (Spell Hit, Spell MP5, Tank, Physical DPS).

On Monday we once again assembled with the Watchers for a spot of dragon slaying. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you much about that – because of severe latency on my connection, I was disconnected about 15 seconds into the fight and none of my 10 logins during the fight managed to stick. As a result of that, I’m unsure about the loot – Terra got a helm for his Death Knight (DPS or tanking, I’m not sure, but I think it was the tanking helm) and someone got Honed Fang of the Mystics. After that the trip went to VoA for a couple more loot piñatas. In short order we disposed of Koralon, Emalon and Archavon, but due to a clerical error I don’t know what loot dropped. If you should happen to know of any of it, please sound out in the comments below.

Finally came the day we all had been waiting for – my birthday! And the first evening of trying something more than the trash in Icecrown Citadel, incidentally. We worked our way through the trash for the umpteenth time, sacrificing Tim every now and then to lure out the Deathbound Wards in lieu of gnomes. We had a good many tries on Lord Marrowgar, but unfortunately had to leave him still standing with his birthday present for me having to wait until the next time.
